Key functions involve :

As a regional manager you are expected to perform various tasks, duties, and responsibilities. The job description example shown below highlights the major functions of the position: ▪ Sales & Marketing ▪ Design or contribute to marketing programs and evolve a Sales & Marketing (Long and Short) for increasing Market Share. ▪ Oversee the sales activities of the group’s Liner products/services in the Region. ▪ Manage and direct sales force to ensure effectiveness & achievements of Volume & Revenue targets of the various branches in the Region. ▪ Evaluate appropriate sales techniques and ensure its implementation in order to increase sales volume of the region ▪ Develop the regions effective utilization of CRM as tool for Customer relations and Customer Management ▪ Ensure the Groups directions and policies to improve the overall customer experience are adhered to. ▪ Conduct necessary reviews as per set design by the management including as maybe required from time to time for achieving targets/ efficiency ▪ Human Resources & Administration ▪ Serve as a coach & motivate location to meet their targets ▪ Participate in the recruitment process of employees in the region ▪ Ensure effective Implementation, execution and monitoring of various HR and administrative policies, guidelines and requirements for the designated locations. ▪ Be an effective connection between the Corporate Office- (Management, Functional HOD’s) and the Branches ▪ Networking ▪ Represent the organization in Industry forums to understand the dynamics and Trade patterns relevant to us ▪ Identify, suggest and participate in the review process of new business opportunities for the group in the Region ▪ Network & Develop relationships with various service (feeder and mainline) providers. ▪ Develop a Customer base of Corporate accounts for the group’s Liner activities ▪ Explore and collate market data- intelligence for possible expansion of the Group’s office network in the Region. ▪ Principals ▪ Liaison with the Liner Principals to ensure that the requirements of the Region are met. Also, to be an effective bridge between the locations and the Principals. ▪ Make recommendations on Liner service and product enhancements for improved sales potential ▪ Monitor and review the Reports sent from the locations to ensure that they are timely, accurate, effective and informative. ▪ Operations and EQC ▪ To ensure that the regions efforts are aligned to the principals/ HQ requirements which is served from time to time with respect to Vessel Operations, Equipment logistics and equipment maintenance. ▪ To collaborate with operation HOD for vendor management. ▪ Finance and Accounts ▪ Monitor and review the Reports sent from the locations to ensure that they are timely, accurate, effective and informative. ▪ Digitalization ▪ Ensure complete adoption of the Digitalization efforts undertaken by the Group and also serve with market intelligence on similar efforts by competition. ▪ Benchmark digital practices and recommend improvements.
