KDX Launch

The first call at the new Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) was of Milaha Maritime vessel m.v.”Oshairij” on Feb 4th 2017, as part of the new common carrier feeder service – Kandla Dammam Express (KDX) with a port rotation of Kandla-Jebel Ali-Dammam-Jubail-Jebel Ali-Kandla. Present on the occasion were Mr. Ravi Parmar (IAS), Chairman Kandla Port Trust; Mr. Dhruv Kotak, Jt. Managing Director J.M. Baxi group; Mr. Jan Mortensen Vice President Container Shipping Milaha Maritime (QNL); Mr. George Abrao, Director Poseidon Shipping Agency along with dignitaries from Kandla Port Trust, Shipping Lines, Custom House Agents, Freight Forwarders and members from the Trade. The service with a weekly call at Kandla will greatly benefit the Rice Exporters who ship to Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East, with this first of a kind direct link. Being a common carrier feeder service, it will also provides an opportunity to many NVOCCs operators to participate in this trade lane. Milaha Maritime also launched a pioneering direct link to Doha from Nhava Sheva with the Nhava Sheva Doha Express (NDX). Poseidon Shipping as general agents of Milaha Maritimeworks closely with Milaha to bring path breaking services to Indian ExIm trade.
